Secretary Statement

Greetings and Salutations Section G16!

First of all, I’d like to wish everyone an amazing induction season. As a side note, I’m almost 100% sure that the whole idea to change the name of the sections was a ploy to set up the largest nationwide game of Battleship. It’s all going to come together at NOAC. I’m sure of it. (call me a conspiracy theorist) Anyways, my favorite time of the year is rapidly approaching. Summer camp season is just around the corner. Make sure your units are signed up for a program this year.

Volunteer for Conclave Activities

The 2022 Section G16 Conclave activities committee needs your help!

They are planning some of the best games and activities ever seen at conclave or a Scout event. They are in need of volunteers to supply equipment and help run them on Saturday of conclave. If you have helped in the past or are interested in helping with this year’s conclave, either by providing activities or running them, please fill out the conclave activities volunteer form. Adult volunteers are preferred so that our youth Arrowmen have more time to enjoy the fun activities.

CONCLAVE ACTIVITIES VOUNTEER FORM
NOAC 2022

This summer, over 600 Arrowmen from across the country will gather at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for the next National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC). During NOAC, Arrowmen will get to experience what it is like living on a college campus by eating in the university dining halls, sleeping in dorms, attending training sessions in classrooms, and participating in activities in campus recreation facilities.

NOAC is a week filled with fun, adventure, excitement, training, fellowship, and inspiration. From the world-class training sessions to the amazing theme shows filled with special effects, NOAC is an experience you will not want to miss.

We are looking forward to a great turnout from our section with all of our lodge contingents at or near capacity. If you missed out on being able to attend NOAC with your lodge contingent, consider attending on NOAC staff. As a member of staff, you not only get to experience many of the great opportunities that NOAC has to offer, but you also get to serve thousands of Arrowmen by helping provide the best conference possible. And you'll make new friends in the process!

Not able to physically go to Tennessee this July? That doesn't mean you have to miss out on NOAC! Register as a "remote delegate" and attend the conference virtually from the comfort of your own home. As a remote delegate, you will have exclusive access to NOAC swag, special training sessions, online networking, and a live stream of the NOAC shows and special events!

We hope to see you at NOAC, July 25-30!

Held the first weekend in April, at Union Rouge Baptist Camp, Lo La’Qam Geela’s Spring Fellowship was our first successful event of the year. With almost 30 brothers in attendance, we kicked off this new year in our lodge with our right foot forward. Activities at this event included a Brotherhood ceremony, cornhole tournament, and many games of Monopoly. As always, our lodge enjoyed a fantastic banquet full of fellowship and great conversation amongst our brothers in the Order.

2022 Wauna La-Mon'tay WICC Recap

— by Bryant Gillins

The Wauna Inductions and Ceremonies Conference was an amazing event that led participants through a modeled experience of the induction weekend in order to help Arrowman to realize the deeper meaning and importance of it. Upon arrival on Friday night, participants were given time to fellowship and mingle while playing games such as Inductions Jeopardy and doing other various activities. Later that evening, attendees saw a demonstration and breakdown with dialogue breaking down each part of the Pre-Ordeal Ceremony for all to see and understand the deeper meaning.
