June Luncheon — John Vincent

Happy Hour at LuLu's with Sylvia Wright

Celebrating Our May Luncheon

He's Back — and We're Filling the Room!
Meet John Vincent - June 15

When the weather forced us to cancel John Vincent's March appearance, we knew one thing for certain: this conversation was too important to let go. We are thrilled to welcome John back on Monday, June 15th — and this time, we're filling the room.

Many of you have already heard John speak and know the integrity, experience, and commitment he brings. For those who haven't yet had the pleasure — this is your moment. Please consider inviting a like-minded friend (or two!) to join you at the Surf Club. Men are welcome. The more people who hear John's vision directly, the stronger our collective impact will be. Register your guests here: https://www.voicenmb.org/register-guest-for-luncheon

John will speak and then take questions in a town-hall style format — come prepared with the questions that matter most to you.

John co-authored Diversity and Inclusion: The Submarine Way — What Life Underwater Taught Me About Inclusion with Deborah Cake Fortin. It is a powerful read about leadership, belonging, and building teams where every voice matters — themes that couldn't be more relevant today.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the luncheon with all proceeds going directly to John's campaign. Pick one up for yourself or as a gift — it's a a great way to support John.

Electing strong leadership also requires financial support. If you are able, please come prepared to contribute in any amount. Donation envelopes will be available at the event.

Let's show up, bring friends, and fill the room again!

What a Room! Celebrating Our May 18th Luncheon with Dr. Annie Andrews

On Monday, May 18th, VOICE filled the Surf Golf and Beach Club with approximately 170 engaged, energized, and inspired guests to hear from Dr. Annie Andrews, candidate for U.S. Senate. The energy in that room was something to remember.

Dr. Andrews spoke with conviction about fixing our healthcare system, protecting Medicare and Social Security, and standing up to corporate influence in elections. As a pediatrician, she brought both medical expertise and personal passion to the table — and the audience responded. She was interrupted multiple times by enthusiastic applause, and the questions from the crowd showed just how ready this community is to engage.

She reminded us that women are 51 percent of South Carolina's population, and that it's time we vote like it. The room heard her loud and clear.

A heartfelt thank-you to every volunteer, table hostess, greeter, and VOICE member who helped make the day run smoothly. You are the reason VOICE works. And to our guests — thank you for bringing your friends, your questions, and your voices. That's exactly what this organization is all about.

Coverage of the event appeared in the North Myrtle Beach Times (May 21–27, 2026) and on Channel 15 ABC News. We are proud of the attention and grateful to all who helped spread the word about VOICE and Dr. Andrews' candidacy.
