Dear Marsha,

I’m excited to announce the launch of my new biography of a once-famous, now long-forgotten author, screenwriter, and public personality, Becoming The Ex-Wife: The Unconventional Life & Forgotten Writings of Ursula Parrott, which will be published on April 25th. If you’d like to learn more about how and why I decided to tell the story of this fascinating woman, check out the Q&A that was published yesterday at the UC Press website.

This is my first ever newsletter, and you can quickly unsubscribe by clicking here. If you’d like to see more, I will be newslettering (one to three times a month) about Ursula and related subjects and I’d love for you to stay tuned.

I’ll be kicking off my book tour with an informal discussion at my favorite local bookstore, So & So Books, in Raleigh on Tuesday April 25th at 6pm and with a screening of The Divorcee (1930) at The Cary Theater on Wednesday April 26th at 7pm before heading to the D.C. area for events at the National Gallery of Art, The American Film Institute Silver Theater, The Old Greenbelt Theater, and my Alma Mater, the University of Maryland, College Park. Future events will be listed on my website.

Spring Book Launch

I’m especially honored to be in conversation with the brilliant writers Belle Boggs and Tift Merritt at my first two Triangle events since Belle and Tift were in my writing group when the idea for this book first materialized! You can pre-order a book to be held at my first two events by emailing the good people at So & So Books with a request and they will be happy to have a copy waiting for you.

If you'd like to help me spread the word about the book or these events, please download my launch event flyer and share it on your social media accounts, or forward this email, which has an easy way to sign up for additional communications or to opt out (see below).

Thanks for reading!

Until next time,

Marsha
