Bellingen Shire Arts Trail Weekend Returns for Its Fourth Inspiring Year

This November, the Mid North Coast's creative heart throws open its doors as the Bellingen Shire Arts Trail Weekend returns for its fourth year on 7–8 November 2026.

Spanning Bostobrick, Dorrigo, Bellingen, Raleigh and Urunga, the trail invites visitors into open studios and galleries to meet local artists working across painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, photography and more. It's a rare chance to see creative processes firsthand, hear the stories behind the work, and buy directly from the makers themselves.

Many venues will also host music, dance and artist talks throughout the weekend.

More than an arts event, it's a celebration of place, creativity and community — mark your calendars for 7–8 November 2026. For details see our website via the button link below

Fibre Artists Network newest exhibition, Abstraction in Action, demonstrates how, through employing the elements of design (line, texture and colour), the essential qualities of fibre can be manipulated in various ways to produce art.  Each artist has chosen to represent the theme in her own unique way.  The viewer is invited to construct their own interpretation.

Born beneath Nicaragua’s vivid colours and shaped by Holland’s artistic traditions and Australia’s wild landscape, these raw works emerge from rupture and renewal—seeking, between darkness and light, an enduring point of stillness.

Karen Thio and Sue Trefz joint exhibition presents their love of nature and landscape.  Karen’s work celebrates birds, birds and more birds through colour pencil, pastels and printmaking. Inspired by light and nature, Sue works predominantly in watercolour, recently exploring landscapes from her travels. For both artists, creating art offers joy, expression and escape.
