Dear W
Take on the Thames and change lives
This summer, we’re inviting you to be part of something truly special.
Sutton Mental Health Foundation is hosting an exciting ‘Tackle the Thames’ Kayak Challenge – a unique fundraising experience that brings together adventure, community, and purpose.
When: Thursday 2nd July
Where: From Greenwich to Battersea (20km)
What: A 4-hour guided kayak
Participants will paddle through the heart of London, taking in some of the capital’s most iconic sights – all while raising vital funds for people in Sutton who are experiencing mental health challenges.
Why it matters?
Every day, we support people whose mental health has had a significant impact on their lives. Our services provide safe, welcoming spaces, peer support, and practical help when it’s needed most.
But we can’t do this without you. Fundraising events like this help us keep our services running and ensure no one in Sutton has to face things alone.
Why not get involved?
Whether you’re an experienced paddler or completely new to kayaking, this challenge is open to everyone:
What you need to know:
Registration is £75 per person, with a fundraising target of £300 per person
Places are strictly limited to 14, so early booking is essential.
Why take the challenge?
This is more than just a kayaking trip – it’s a chance to push yourself, connect with others, and make a real difference in your community. It's also a chance to see London as you have never seen it before!
