For over 22 years, we've been UPlifting morale and growing joy that lasts. 2026 - plenty clicks - this year, more and more of the pieces are clicking beautifully into place.

For over 22 years, we've been sharing joy and now we have a monthly sUPporter campaign - thanks to Backabuddy & Paysoft.

We're celebrating our first 20 Monthly JOY Members (including our wonderful anonymous supporters). To every one of you ~ thank you for holding hands with UP.

Today we're inviting YOU to join UP - and help carry our joy works consistently and in the future.

Our small dream is simple: By end August - we're intending to have over 300 signed UP Monthly Partners with Joy-Works - with each giving R100 or more - per month, we'll have enough to cover a joy session in each of our 5 regions.

Together, this simple act of gifting R100p/m generosity helps UP - create sustainable joy, reaching more schools, more caregivers, more communities and more young people every single month.

Our BIG dream is 1000 monthly contributors by our 23rd Birthday on the 16th December 2026.

DREAMING of an epic short documentary, telling the stories of our Champion YoungSTARS. We see our Cape Town & Soweto Joy Facilitators - sharing this short film - with 10 other schools and a nationwide release to follow - creating a ripple effect of JOY

for thousands more!!

YOUNG PEOPLE ON THE UP

“UP4JOY Game On” is currently running in 2 regions

UP4JOY continues to bring creativity, connection and social-emotional wellness to youngSTARS in Soweto and Cape Town.

Our learners have journeyed through Terms 1 and 2 and are now heading into the final term of this year's programme.

Although we weren't awarded Phase 2 NFVF funding, we're incredibly proud to have reached this stage. The dream continues as we now raise funds for the UP4JOY Documentary, culminating in our Filming & Celebration Retreat (late September).

Joy in Action

Joy has continued to ripple across South Africa through:

Mandela Day celebrations with 167 joyful participants at Secret Sunrise.

The Year Beyond young people's joy sessions in Cape Town.

Forever Young seniors' wellbeing sessions in Cape Town.

Creative outreach with Mad About Art in Knysna.

Educator wellbeing sessions and teacher training in the Garden Route, including our growing partnership with many!

The continued growth of The Joy Movement, helping organisations create happier, healthier workplaces while supporting our outreach programmes.

Every person UPlifted - reminds us that joy grows when it's shared.

Join the Joy Circle of Love

One of our favorite consistent joy works - this year has been our monthly Joy Circle, held on the last Wednesday of every month.

These online gatherings continue to create space to connect, reflect, laugh, learn and simply be together.

Thank you to everyone who keeps showing up and growing with us.

If you would like to practice facilitating online, we’d love to support you. Reach out to Kirsten and we can mentor you in holding space online during these gatherings.

PLUS - A major highlight of 2026 our new enhanced online -Facilitate JOY – for Self, Others & Our World - Training.

Anyone can now complete the course at their own pace through The Joy Movement, receiving a comprehensive training manual, certificate of participation and access to a large part of our ever-growing JOY-Tool Box.

We're so excited to make these practical life skills available to thousands more people.
