| On my first day in the new Nourish office in North Dartmouth (keep scrolling to learn more), I biked past traffic on the bridge. It should have felt glorious, but I could smell the smoke. Our thoughts are with so many families that are out of their homes and with students who are out of school. I will reflect on my first year as Executive Director of Nourish Nova Scotia and when I speak on June 6 at the Human Resources Committee at Province House. It’s been an honour to take part in big conversations – including federal consultations on a pan-Canadian School Food Policy – as part of the Coalition for Healthy School Food. I’ve been inspired by on-the-ground innovation across Nova Scotia: new salad bars in cafeterias, students making smoothies, local farmers partnering with schools, cafeteria workers adding more from-scratch recipes to their menus, and non-profits coming together to establish a Halifax Regional Food Hub. Wishing for rain. P.S. Remember: you can Show Your Teacher You Care and support Nourish’s work to build a Nova Scotia where children and youth are well nourished to live, learn and play.

| ANNOUNCEMENT: Nourish is Moving! |
|
We are excited to announce our upcoming move to a new (to us) space in the heart of North Dartmouth. When looking for a new office location, we prioritized easy access to public transit and active transportation routes. This relocation is not just about a change of address; it represents a step towards fostering accessibility, sustainability, and a brighter future for both our team and the communities we serve! We’re excited to be in a community space, better enabling us to build valuable partnerships that extend beyond our organization’s walls.
New address: 27 Farrell Street, Dartmouth NS |
