Presented by Susan Wielechowski, Circle of Life Alzeimers Homes, Prescott. The GEMS State Tool is a first aid kit for assisting those living with brain change. This in-the-moment tool helps families, professional care partners, first responders and medical providers understand what their person living with dementia is experiencing and can still do. This will help users choose a supportive response to de-escalate crises and facilitate communication.
